I am renting multiple instruments for my children. Do I need to fill out a new contract for each child?
Yes, it is required that each instrument (and musician) have their own contract filled out. This way, we can better understand who is playing which instrument, and which school they attend in the event that they need our rental repair or return support.
What if my child's instrument isn't working properly?
Please call or email us immediately. We will arrange to pick your instrument up at your child's school within 48 hours. We will bring it back to our shop for repair & return it on the very next school day. If the instrument requires extensive repair, a loaner will be provided. You are always welcome to bring the instrument to our store and have a technician go over it while you wait. Please do not attempt to repair the instrument yourself! We have seen many instruments destroyed from DIY attempts. We have expert technicians that are here to help!
Is my instrument Rent-to-Own?
Each Band instrument is Rent-to-Own. Your contract has a certain number of months that will pay off your rental based on the instrument's value. Once you have paid through the number of months listed on your contract, the instrument is yours.
String instruments may be Rent-to-Rent or Rent-to-Own determined by the size of the instrument being rented. All Fractional String Instruments (smaller than full-size) are Rent-to-Rent. All Full-Size strings are Rent-to-Own.

What if I want to buy the instrument early?
Want to pay off the instrument for your child to own and enjoy for life? You can!
For all Rent-to-Own Contracts, we offer a 35% discount on the remaining balance within the first 12 months of your rental, and a 25% discount on the remaining balance at any time after 12 months. You can check on your current balance, and discounted payoff totals anytime by logging into our website here and clicking the “Reference Number” next to the rental instrument in question.
Note: String instruments do not qualify for this discount. Please contact our office for early pay-off information for strings.
What if I want to return the instrument?
You must call or email us and we will make arrangements to pick-up your instrument at your child's school. Note: Simply leaving the instrument at the school without notifying us does not qualify as returned. Your contract will continue and you will remain responsible for all monthly payments until the instrument is returned to Leonards Music. Plan your return before your next monthly billing date to ensure you won’t get charged again.
Will I owe any money if I return the instrument?
No additional money will be owed as long as your payments are up to date. There are no monetary penalties for returning your instrument. Once you have returned your instrument and closed your contract, your Earned Credit will be forfeited. Any payments made prior to returning your instrument cannot be refunded or pro-rated.
How do I update my credit card?
You can easily update your credit card by logging into our website at https://www.leonardsmusic.com/signin.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2FAeManageCc. If you have any difficulties with this process, you can also call us anytime during business hours to update your card.
