Important things to know before you return your instrument
Our instruments are rent to own.
Email us at info@leonardsmusic.com or call our office anytime to verify the balance remaining on your rental instrument.
Earned credit has no monetary value and may only be applied to the instrument on current contract.
Early pay-off options are also available, please email us or contact our office for more information.
Once a contract is closed, the earned credit is forfeited.
Band and Full Size String Instruments
All band instruments and Full-Size String Instruments are Rent-to-Own. 100% of the monthly Rental Fee applies to the balance of the instrument for the duration of the Agreement. (This is referred to as *Earned Credit.)
You are not obligated to buy your rental instrument. If, at anytime, you wish to terminate your contract you must contact Leonards Music directly. Your child's school is not a party in your rental agreement. Leaving your instrument at the school without notifying Leonards Music will not close your contract. You will remain responsible for all payments until your instrument is returned to Leonards Music.
(Full size strings include: 4/4 Violin, 15.5+ inch Viola, 4/4 Cello, 3/4 or 4/4 Bass, and 3/4 or 4/4 Guitar)
Fractional Size String Instruments
Many young students begin their musical journey on fractional-sized string instruments. These are smaller versions of full-size instruments, designed to make learning easier and safer for children by helping them avoid poor playing habits or physical strain.
As your child grows, they will gradually move up through larger fractional sizes until they are ready for a full-size instrument. Since children will outgrow fractional instruments, we do not recommend purchasing them.
Instead, all fractional-sized instruments are offered under our "Rent-to-Rent" Program, which allows you to accrue credit toward a future full-size instrument while your child rents a smaller one. By the time your child is ready to transition to a full-size violin, viola, cello, or bass, you will have accumulated credit that can be applied toward owning the full-size version.
If you choose to discontinue your contract
If you decide not to continue your contract at any time, it is your sole responsibility to make sure that the instrument is promptly returned to Leonards Music. The student’s school is not a party to this transaction. You will need to schedule a pick up or bring your instrument to our store to close your contract. Leaving an instrument in the main office or band room without notifying Leonards Music does not close your contract and you will remain responsible for payments until the instrument is returned to Leonards Music.
The instrument must be returned to Leonards Music in the same condition it was rented (excluding reasonable wear and tear).
You must return ALL accessories that were given at time of rental or you may be charged.
PLEASE REMOVE PERSONAL BELONGINGS, ALL REEDS, BELL COVERS AND MASKS BEFORE RETURNING!
